Composed of personnel from the First-Aid Volunteer
Service, Macau Red Cross Civil-Defense Service is mainly responsible
for disaster-relief and rescue operations._
Brought to stand-by mode
during typhoons, other natural disasters or major accidents, the service,
as directed by the Macau Government, shall dispatch volunteers to assist
in search and rescue operations within the territory.
