Since 2003, Macau Red Cross initiated and organized a social welfare campaign for a "Building of Schools in Mainland Project"._ Under the strong support and collaboration of the Red Cross Society of China, we strive to motivate the local community's financial strength by setting up a charity foundation to benefit the children in the poor regions of China to continue their elementary education; to protect children's right to receive education; to improve teaching conditions in the poor regions; to promote the "Fraternity" of the Red Cross Movement and to develop the education foundation in the poor regions as well as the disaster affected areas.
