Our Service
Macau Red Cross continuously
cares for the vulnerable group in the community, and ready to
render diverse services._ One of
them is the short term 'Mobility Assisted Equipment Rental
Service' , with underarm crutches, cuff crutches, wheelchairs
and walkers available to residents who encountered unexpected
accidents.
Service Targets
•
Emergency
Room patients.
•
Those
required short-term mobility aids
(Excluding
long-term wheelchair and walker users)
1. Deposits will be refunded upon return
of items.
2.
Rental is on a monthly
basis, one full month fee will be charged for crutches renting
for less than a month._ 50% off
for renting wheelchairs for less than 2 weeks, and one full
month fee will be applied for over 2 weeks..
Qualifications and
Procedures
Renters must obtain certifications
from hospital emergency room and orthopedic specialists, justifying
to use the assisted equipments._
The following are the procedures:
1.
Crutch renters may complete forms at
Centro Hospitalar Conde de Sao Januario, and then obtain
the item. Rental fees and deposits can be paid later at
Macau Red Cross headquarters.
2.
Complete procedures directly at our headquarters.
Renters should produce their own identity cards, rental
fees, deposits and users' identification, together with
doctor's referral.

Rental Duration
One month for first time renters, extension
may be requested by contacting Macau Red Cross headquarters.
Maximum rental is 3 months.
* 6 months for Friends
of Macau Red Cross.
Return Location
Macau Red Cross headquarters
Return of Equipments
Items can be returned by renters' friends/relatives
with original deposit receipt.
